FER’s Young Lion Awards recognize individuals under the age of 40 who have made a meaningful impact on the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
The future of any industry or market is dependent on the energy, expertise and commitment of its emerging leaders. The Young Lion award has a long and wonderful history, having been created back in 1984 when the crew at Foodservice Equipment Reports magazine helmed the former FE&S at Cahners Publishing. The purpose of the award then and now is to recognize and honor younger equipment and supplies professionals who have already made a significant impact on the industry. We believe their vitality, intelligence and dedication to this business serves as an example that inspires peers, including those farther along in their careers and those just starting out.
The commercial and noncommercial foodservice operators in our new class of Young Lions were selected by carefully formed Selection Advisory Boards comprised of industry experts. Young Lions in the Dealer, Manufacturers’ Rep., Service and Consultant categories were selected by their association affiliates, Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA), Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI), Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) and the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI).
We will honor and present our 2013 Young Lions their awards at FER’s Awards Dinner, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Fla. (Friday during The NAFEM Show). We would love for you to join the celebration. See how at fermag.com/event-calendar/fer-industry-awards-2013.html or call Christine Palmer at 847/336-2049.
