Straw Hat Pizza Plans To Double In Size

Its home base in the Golden State continues to be fertile ground for new Straw Hat Pizza restaurants. The Walnut Creek, Calif., chain has announced plans to open seven new franchised locations there in the first quarter of 2011. Alameda, Chatsworth, Livermore, Sacramento, San Jose, San Pablo and Vallejo will each boast a new Straw Hat Pizza restaurant in early ’11. The 51-year-old chain has new-unit openings slated for Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Texas, too. Its growth strategy is to reach 150 locations within two years; with these new openings it is halfway to that goal.
