NAFED’S SMITH RETIRES, ANDERSON IS NEW CEO

The National Association of Food Equipment Dealers has a new CEO, following the retirement of Sanford Smith. Mark Anderson assumed the post January 1, succeeding Smith, who served as the buying group’s leader for the past nine years. Smith will continue to serve in an advisory role at NAFED’s Florence, S.C., headquarters throughout 2011. Anderson, who joined NAFED in May 2010 as CFO, brings a background including 12 years in the industrial supply industry working in sales, operations and accounting to his new position.
