Energy Efficiency Training Seminar Set For May

Heading to Chicago in May for the National Restaurant Show? Come in a day early for a closer look at energy trends. On May 20, the Energy Center of Wisconsin, a nonprofit firm offering energy efficiency research and education, is partnering with ComEd to deliver “Energy Efficiency in Commercial Foodservice,” a training workshop with Don Fisher of the Food Service Technology Center, San Ramon, Calif.

Aimed at operators but open to anyone involved in commercial foodservice, the workshop will target identifying best practices and the energy efficient technologies that will deliver consistent savings and “green” foodservice. This includes take-home strategies for optimizing the performance in cooking, refrigeration and warewashing equipment, kitchen exhaust ventilation and HVAC systems. Fisher’s presentation will include how-to’s on performing energy accounting and life-cycle cost analysis and completing an energy audit.
