More Good News At Canada’s Restaurant Show

The hits keep coming. The 2011 Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association Show in Toronto March 6-8 has been declared a “resounding success” by its sponsors. The CRFA reports that the show’s 13,000 visitors visited 1,200 exhibit booths and attended 31 educational and 38 chef demos.

Beyond the numbers, there were awards. Four exhibitors—Ecolab, Garland/Manitowoc, Libbey Foodservice and Vollrath Co.—were honored for 50 years of loyally participating in the CRFA Show and its predecessor (HostEx/Food and Beverage Show).

Four other companies were honored for their exhibits. Best Booth Awards went to Bevtech (small booth); Bunge Oils (traffic-building); Rational (large); and RE.CO.TE for best first-year exhibitor.

In addition, Second Harvest collected over 26,000 pounds of food donations from exhibitors. “Our thanks go out to everyone in this innovative and dynamic industry whose participation made the CRFA Show such a tremendous success,” says Garth Whyte, CRFA’s president and CEO. “The feedback from visitors and exhibitors has been outstanding, and the wheels are in motion to build on the success to make next year’s show even better.”

The 2012 CRFA Show will return to Toronto’s Direct Energy Centre on March 4-6, 2012.
