ATTENDANCE UP 8% AT THE NAFEM SHOW THIS YEAR

Staff and members of the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers Association are wearing big smiles with the announcement of official attendance figures for February’s NAFEM Show. The numbers bear out the optimism felt on the show floor. Attendance was up 8% over `09. With manufacturers and reps, more than 18,500 foodservice professionals participated in the Orlando, Fla., show, held Feb. 10-12. NAFEM reported that 41% of “buyer” attendees in Orlando were dealers, 31% were end-users, 8% were consultants, with the remaining 20% a mix of service agents and other allied demographics. End users were an especially enthusiastic group, with attendance numbers up 33%.
