HOCKENBERGS BUYS GLOBAL KES

Hockenbergs Food Service Equipment and Supply Co., a dealer headquartered in Omaha, Neb, has acquired Global KES. Based in Lee’s Summit, Mo., Global KES was a subsidiary of Sub-Technologies Inc., a supplier of smallwares—including janitorial products, scales and cutting boards—with a special focus on products for the Subway chain. Sub-Technologies will continue to operate under Pres. John Wells.

According to its website, Global KES has been introducing new products and providing store opening packages for Subway Sandwich Restaurants since 1988. It has distribution centers in Missouri, Canada, Czech Republic, and Puerto Rico. Hockenbergs, headed by CEO Tom Schrack Jr., has been in operation since 1908. It has seven additional locations in seven states.
