BOULDER-BASED TUNDRA BUYS FELLOW DEALER

Tundra Specialties, a distributor of restaurant parts, supplies and equipment, has purchased the assets and liabilities of Cen Tex Supply Co., a neighboring dealer which specializes in eco-friendly paper products in addition to E&S. Both companies are based in Boulder, Colo.

Ryan Lewis, president of Tundra Specialties, is focused on a seamless transition, according to release announcing the acquisition. The two companies will operate separately until July 1, he said, while consolidating businesses. At that time, both operations will be consolidated into Tundra Specialties. Tom McCarthy, former owner of Cen Tex, will serve as v.p.-sales for Tundra Specialties’ new disposable product line. Tundra plans to expand its distribution facility to 64,000 square feet to accommodate the additional product offering. Cen Tex marks its 60th anniversary this year; it was originally named Centennial Paper Co.
