Carayannopoulos To Head Scotsman’s Healthcare Sales

Scotsman Ice Systems has hired a new sales director for a hot market: Alex Carayannopoulos has been appointed director, healthcare sales.

“Alex’s leadership and proven industry experience have prepared him to expand our market share in healthcare,” said Denis Griesmer, v.p.-sales and marketing for the Vernon Hills, Ill., manufacturer of ice machines, storage bins and ice and water dispensers.

Carayannopoulos, who joined Scotsman July 18, has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare foodservice industry. He recently served as a division sales director for Plymold Seating.

“Alex brings valuable insights into the patient satisfaction challenges that hospitals, nurses, healthcare foodservice and other healthcare providers face every day,” said Scotsman Pres. Mark McClanahan.
