Kool Star Moves Plant Back To The United States

Kool Star is relocating its panel manufacturing plant from Nogales, Mexico, to New Albany, Miss. Shifting the work stateside will provide centrally located manufacturing and distribution, allowing the company to reduce shipping lead-times and costs while servicing the entire North America marketplace.

The company said the move enables it to expand to a complete line of walk-in panels and self-contained and rack refrigeration system lines, as well as add commercial refrigerated cabinets to its product catalog. All products are designed and produced by Kool Star’s parent, Standex Refrigeration Solutions Group. Kool Star is headquartered in Long Beach, Calif.

The Standex Food Service Equipment Group also includes American Foodservice, APW Wyott, Bakers Pride, BKI, Tri-Star, Federal Industries, Master-Bilt, Nor-Lake and Procon.
