Nominating Period Opens For NRA’s Restaurant Industry Awards

Whether due to natural disasters or the economic downturn, it’s been a year of volunteering time and donating goods to food banks and community kitchens. Now comes the opportunity to honor operators and employees for outstanding community service and to cite those entrepreneurs living the American dream. The National Restaurant Association’s 2012 Restaurant Industry Awards are given in two separate categories:

The Restaurant Neighbor Award recognizes restaurants for outstanding community service; four national winners will be chosen from statewide winners. The Faces of Diversity Award celebrates the diversity of the industry by honoring three individuals who have realized the American Dream.

Restaurants may apply online on their own behalf before Dec. 5. Check out last year’s honorees here. Winners of the awards will be honored in April during the NRA’s Public Affairs Conference. “””
