Master-Bilt Rep Firm Opens Culinary Training Center

Heartland Reps opened a new test kitchen and culinary education center in Kearney, Mo., in December. The state-of-the-art training facility was built to showcase the Master-Bilt Refrigeration product line represented by Heartland. Heartland Reps cover Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and southern Illinois for the 70-year-old New Albany, Miss., manufacturer. Master-Bilt is part of the Standex Food Service Equipment Group.

“We made a financial decision as a company to invest in our continued growth. We knew we needed to get our manufacturers’ products directly in front of our customers, dealers, end-users, chains, and consultants, rather than just the product catalogs,” stated Heartland’s Rocky Brock, a principal in the firm. In addition to Master-Bilt, Heartland represents 17 additional equipment manufacturers.
