Plan Ahead: NRA 2012 Public Affairs Conference Set For April 17-18

The National Restaurant Association has a message for Congress: “America Works Here.” The association will hold its 26th annual Public Affairs Conference April 17-18 in Washington, D.C., and bring together operators in state delegations to deliver its message.

The conference includes a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill, a gala dinner celebrating the U.S. restaurant industry, a VIP reception for conference attendees and members of Congress, and remarks from Congressional leaders.

Registration is now open for politically active restaurateurs to head to the capital and talk about the restaurant industry’s 13 million jobs, its $1.7 trillion economic impact, and its unifying impact on communities. State delegations will visit with their senators, congressmen and congresswomen to discuss issues including health care, labor concerns, regulatory burdens, tax reform, and commodity costs.

More information is at www.restaurant.org/paconference. Early-bird registration and preferred hotel rates are available through March 16.
