Huddle House Acquired By Sentinel Capital Partners

Huddle House, the Atlanta-based family-dining chain, has been purchased by Sentinel Capital Partners, a New York based private-equity firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The full-service chain’s units serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 24-hours a day. Huddle House was founded in 1964 and includes 376 franchised and 17 company-owned restaurants in 20 states, mostly across the Southeast, producing more than $225 million in annual revenue. It reported same-store sales rose 7.2% in the first quarter of 2012.
