Red Robin To Expand Fast-Casual Concept

The rollout is official. Red Robin Gourmet Burgers will open a baker’s dozen of new company-owned restaurants this year; plans call for nine original concept stores and four additional Red Robin’s Burger Works locations. The Greenwood Village, Colo., chain launched its Burger Works concept in November 2011, and has since opened two locations in Denver and one in Columbus, Ohio. It plans to expand the fast-casual concept with four new store openings during fiscal `12. Red Robin operates 330 company-owned restaurants and franchises 136 restaurants.
