- T&S Brass has opened an on-site education facility to provide hands-on training to customers, consultants, sales representatives, distributors, contractors and engineers. The 40,000-sq.-ft. center can accommodate small and large groups and offers fully integrated assistance and a large selection of training and professional development that can be customized to a group’s individual needs. The new facility is located on the T&S Brass and Bronze Works campus in Travelers Rest, S.C. Attendees can take factory tours and observe T&S products being made from casting and forging to polishing.
- Food Warming Equipment Co., a Crystal Lake, Ill., maker of mobile transport units, portable bars and cooking ovens, is expanding its facilities near Nashville. FWE has purchased a building in Portland, Tenn.; the site adds more than 160,000 sq.ft. to FWE’s current manufacturing capabilities in Illinois. According to Curt Benson, v.p.-sales and marketing, “This expansion will help improve the quality and quantity of several Food Warming Equipment product lines, support our existing customer base and promote aspirations for future growth.”
- Watlow has relocated its manufacturing plant in Queretaro, Mexico. The new facility, five times larger than the previous one, is located near the city’s airport and the Pan-American Highway for more efficient transportation. St. Louis-based Watlow manufactures thermal systems, temperature sensors and controllers. The 90-year-old company has nine manufacturing facilities and three technology centers in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
