Two E&S Dealers Expand Through Acquisition:

  • Tundra Restaurant Supply of Boulder, Colo., has acquired Superior Commercial Kitchens, a neighboring design firm specializing in restaurants and healthcare facilities. The move will allow Tundra to further expand its suite of planning, design and project management services, according to Tundra Pres. Ryan Lewis. “Superior Commercial Kitchens now allows us to expand into additional foodservice markets and grow this part of our business.”  Superior was founded in 1997. Owner Robert E. McLaren, CFSP, will take on the role of design consultant at Tundra. His daughter Cherise will join the company as a customer-support representative.
  • H. Weiss Equipment Corp., a half-century-old dealership based in Armonk, N.Y., has inked an agreement with BRC Commercial Kitchens Corp. to acquire certain BRC assets and hire key personnel at the Elmwood Park, N.J., company.
