Southern Exposure In The Works For Del Taco

Del Taco has inked an agreement to add 20 units to its store count in Alabama and northern Florida. Targeted sites in Alabama include Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa; Florida locations include Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

In May, the Lake Forest, Calif., chain opened the first of an expected 60 stores planned for the Atlanta metro area. Del Taco previously operated restaurants in the Atlanta area in a co-branding effort with Mrs. Winner’s Chicken and Biscuits in the 1990s.

The chain, headed by Paul Murphy, has 545 locations in 17 states.
