Diversified Foodservice Acquires Franklin Machine Products

Diversified Foodservice Supply, the parent company of AllPoints Foodservice Parts and Supplies, Tundra Specialties, and other brands in the parts, supplies, equipment and accessories distribution industry, has acquired Franklin Machine Products.

Better known as FMP, the 94-year-old Lumberton, N.J., company is a leading distributor of foodservice repair parts and accessories.

Current FMP Pres. Joe Grato and COO Mike Conte will continue in executive leadership positions with the company and will become shareholders in DFSI. In addition, Joe Grato will join DSFI’s board of directors.

"Becoming part of DFSI will create clear advantages to our valued customers and associates,” Grato said. "Our customers will benefit through significant scale advantages in geographic coverage, product expansion, and purchasing synergies.”

"The addition of FMP to the Diversified Foodservice Supply family is incredibly exciting,” stated Mike Cate, CEO of DFSI.

Cate added, “The combination of FMP with our other brands will create scale advantages to include better geographic coverage with respect to our distribution footprint and a significantly more robust product offering, which will benefit all of our valued customers.”

DFSI is headquartered in Mt. Prospect, Ill., and manages operations in five distribution facilities and brand headquarters in the United States. FMP carries more than 13,000 line items in its Las Vegas and Lumberton distribution centers.
