Tony Kaszuba Recognized as 2013 SFM Hennessy Traveler

Tony Kaszuba, president of RMA Hospitality Management, has been nominated as this year’s Society for Foodservice Management’s 2013 Hennessy Traveler.

The Hennessy Traveler program promotes educational opportunities for members of the U.S. Air Force serving in hospitality assignments and who are interested in pursuing post-military careers in the foodservice industry. With his selection, Kaszuba carries on a long tradition of SFM’s support and encouragement of these personnel. He’ll begin traveling early in the new year, which SFM will document on its website.

Kaszuba joins a large group of Hennessy Travelers chosen in previous years who evaluate foodservice and hospitality at U.S. bases around the world.

In order to continue this tradition, the program is in transition and needs corporate donations. With current reductions in defense spending, the military’s funding for the Hennessy program was reduced for the coming year. The SFM Foundation stepped up, creating a new support platform and broadening its educational role to allow the program to continue and ensuring industry contributors receive a tax deduction for their assistance.

Corporate support of the program is offered at $1,000 or more annually, and personal donations also are encouraged. Support of the program is completely tax-deductible and all supporters will receive benefits for their participation.
