Sysco Names Senior V.P. Distribution Services

Sysco Corp. has hired Scott Charlton as senior v.p. for distribution services. He replaces Fred Lankford, who is retiring after 41 years with Sysco.

Charlton will focus on improving the Houston company’s warehouse and delivery operations across all of its divisions; Sysco operates 185 distribution facilities serving approximately 400,000 customers. He joins Sysco after serving the past six years as exec. v.p. at C&S Wholesale Grocers; he previously spent more than two decades at Publix Super Markets, where he served as senior v.p.-manufacturing and distribution.
