Chicago Metallic Buys Lockwood Mfg.

Chicago Metallic Bakeware has acquired Lockwood Mfg. and has assumed management of the Brantford, Ontario, company’s stock pan business.

Both the Chicago Metallic and PanGlo operations will be overseen by Robert Bundy, who has been appointed managing director for the Canadian plants. Gil Bundy, president of Chicago Metallic, stated, “We are thrilled with this new venture and the opportunity to build lasting relationships in the Canadian market and we look forward to offering these bakeries the benefits of our products and services.”

The company plans to upgrade its glaze plants and update equipment. Canadian customers will also have access to new stock pan selections from Chicago Metallic through the Brantford warehouse.

Lockwood’s custom baking pan customers will be served by American Pan Co., which acquired Chicago Metallic in 2005 as part of Bundy Baking Solutions.
