Chain Personnel Moves:

El Pollo Loco has appointed Richard Pineda as v.p.-supply chain management and Jeff Little as v.p.-development. Pineda will manage the entire supply chain for the Costa Mesa, Calif., company, including logistics and distribution, and all non-food spend categories, including supplies, uniforms and natural gas. He had been v.p.-purchasing and supply chain for Sizzler USA and held the same title at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants and Kahala Corp. In his new post, Little will oversee real-estate location selection, construction project management and overall project design for El Pollo Loco’s nearly 400 restaurants. Little previously worked at Yum! Brands; his posts included national director-Taco Bell development and national director of Yum! Brands construction.

Focus Brands has named Mario Lopez-Belio as senior v.p.-int’l supply chain. He will provide overall direction to the Atlanta company’s supply chain efforts. Before joining Focus, Lopez-Belio spent seven years as chief procurement officer for Carlson Restaurants, where he helped build a center-led global supply. Focus has 3,500 units under five brand names in more than 60 countries.
