Middleby Adds Liaison Between Its Brands And Consultant Community

The Middleby Corp. has hired Peter Cooper, formerly of Johnson & Wales University, as its new v.p.-business development, consultant and design services. Cooper is acting as a liaison between all of the Middleby brands and the design and consultant community. Prior to joining Middleby, Cooper spent six years as the executive director of culinary procurement at Johnson & Wales. He was part of the design and execution team for the state-of-the-art culinary school and its kitchens and has more than 30 years of experience as an executive chef, owner, consultant and educator.

“Peter’s experience at Johnson & Wales is an invaluable asset to all of our brands and will greatly benefit our customers as they endeavor to design the most efficient and effective commercial kitchens,” says Selim Bassoul, Middleby’s chairman and CEO.

Elgin, Ill.-based Middleby has more than 30 foodservice equipment brands, as well as more than a dozen food processing and residential kitchen brands.
