T&S Appoints G.M. For Shanghai Operation

T&S Brass and Bronze Works has hired Pat Cotter as general manager of its facility in Shanghai, China.

Cotter has a long career in industrial leadership and development experience in China, India, Mexico and South America. Much of his career has been with Worthington Industries, a multinational steel processor and metal products manufacturer. For the past three years, he has been general manager of the firm’s Sino-American joint venture in Xianao, Hubei; he also has served as v.p.-Asian development and as g.m. of Worthington’s Steel Pac Systems division.

“We couldn’t be more pleased about putting Pat in charge of our Shanghai operation,” said Claude Theisen, CEO of the Travelers Rest, S.C., company. “He’s proficient in Mandarin, familiar with the Chinese culture, and knows management and manufacturing like the back of his hand.”

The facility serves as both a ISO 14001-certified manufacturing plant and as the company’s sales headquarters and customer service center for China.
