Denny’s New Chile Unit Marks Chain’s South American Debut

The Denny’s Grand Slam breakfast is now being served in Chile, which has become the 11th country to welcome a Denny’s restaurant. The Santiago store is the nearly 1,700-unit chain’s first foray into South America. Local partner The Musiet Group has signed an exclusive development agreement to open 10 locations in Chile over the next 15 years. Denny’s, already operating more than 100 units in Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Guam, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and New Zealand, is the first American family-dining chain to expand its footprint to Chile. The grand opening there comes on the heels of Denny’s first restaurant opening in El Salvador and a twelfth location opening in Puerto Rico.
