Host 2013 Reports Impressive Attendance And Growth

Milan was buzzing with foodservice professionals who flocked to the five-day Host 2013 last month. The biennial show, held at the fieramilano pavilions October 18-22, is a must-see for an overview of excellent foodservice equipment design and technology.

The Host show featured 1,700 exhibitors from 48 countries, encompassing 12 halls. Attendance was up 7% over 2011, with more than 133,000 industry professional from 162 countries attending over the five days of the show. International attendance jumped 21%, with double-digit growth from the U.S. (+28%), Russia (+64%) and especially the UAE (+141%). Exhibitor numbers were up almost 7% with 350 new additions and U.S. manufacturer representation rose 17% over 2011’s show.
