CESA Celebrates 75 Years

The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association is marking its 75th anniversary this year. CESA, first established in 1938, is the UK’s largest and most influential membership group for companies that manufacture, import/export, distribute, install and/or service commercial catering equipment. It has more than 160 members encompassing the full spectrum of equipment and ancillary services, utensils and tableware suppliers, as well as suppliers to all the main foodservice and hospitality sectors.

Foodservice equipment manufacturers, distributors and service companies qualify for full membership; associate membership is open to companies which are substantial suppliers and providers of materials and/or energy or services to CESA members.

The London-based group aims to further the interests and raise the standards of the industry by promoting the welfare of its members and representing the industry’s interests to relevant government departments and regulatory authorities. CESA also works with like-minded trade groups in the UK and elsewhere, such as the U.S.-based North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers.
