NRA Announces Speakers For This Month’s Public Affairs Conference

Speakers of a distinctly political hue are in the spotlight at the National Restaurant Association’s 27th annual Public Affairs Conference in two weeks. The April 17-18 conference in Washington, D.C., will see more than 500 restaurateurs from across the country convene for presentations from U.S. Representative Kevin McCarthy, majority whip of the U.S. House, as well as veteran political consultants Paul Begala and Alex Castellanos.

Rep. McCarthy represents the 23rd District of California, which spans Kern, Tulare and Los Angeles counties. Begala, a political analyst for CNN, was a counselor to President Clinton. Castellanos is a media consultant and strategist for the Republican Party.

The 2013 public affairs conference, “Carry the Message – America Works Here,” includes meetings with members of Congress. The conference agenda also includes the Restaurant Industry Awards Program honoring the winners of the 2013 Faces of Diversity and Restaurant Neighbor awards.
