Four foodservice equipment manufacturers have announced they’ve won Energy Star honors from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Two companies, ITW Food Equipment Group-North America and Manitowoc Foodservice, have received Energy Star Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence awards, recognizing their continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency.
Troy, Ohio-based ITW FEG has been an Energy Star partner since 2008; the ITW FEG companies receiving recognition are Baxter, Hobart, Stero, Traulsen, Vulcan, Wittco and Wolf, which offer a total of 512 Energy Star-qualified products.
Manitowoc, an Energy Star partner since 2001, has 556 products in its Energy Star portfolio covering six categories. The company is headquartered in New Port Richey, Fla.
Hoshizaki America and Scotsman Ice Systems have been named as 2013 Energy Star Partners of the Year for contributing to reducing greenhouse-gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers about energy efficiency. Peachtree City, Ga.-based Hoshizaki has been an Energy Star partner since `03. It offers more than 65 Energy Star-qualified ice machines.
Scotsman Ice Systems, headquartered in Vernon Hills, Ill., offers more than 35 Energy Star-qualified models. It has been an Energy Star partner since `11.
All winners will be recognized at a March 26 awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
