SEFA Transitioning To Member-Owned Group

As part of a long-term strategy to maintain its presence as one of the industry’s major buying groups, Supply & Equipment Foodservice Alliance has announced plans to become member-owned. As the new multiyear plan is carried out, SEFA’s current owners Tedde and Jim Reid and the SEFA executive committee and management team will continue to lead the South Barrington, Ill., group.

While the group has always been member-driven, said SEFA Pres. Tedde Reid, transitioning to member and management ownership will provide for its continued, long-term growth.

Jim Hanson, chair of SEFA’s executive committee, said the long-term process will allow SEFA to maintain and continue its well-established culture and industry prominence.
