Stuart Sharp Joins R.W. Smith As COO

R.W. Smith & Co. has appointed Stuart Sharp, the former v.p.-division sales at Carlisle Foodservice Products, as chief operating officer, a new position within the company’s leadership team. Sharp will report to Allan Keck, president and CEO of R.W. Smith. The San Diego dealer reported more than $87 million in sales in 2012, according to FER’s Top Dealer Report.

“We are pleased to add Stuart Sharp to our executive management team,” Keck said. “His decades of experience in our industry, plus his knowledge in manufacturing, importing and exporting of our products will provide additional strength to our team.”

Prior to joining R.W. Smith, Sharp held several leadership positions, including three v.p. posts at Carlisle Foodservice. He most recently oversaw the restructuring of the Oklahoma City manufacturer’s sales management team by market segment.
