Babila Assumes Presidency At Carpigiani

Carpigiani USA has elevated John Babila to the office of president. He had been serving as exec. v.p.-sales and marketing since he joined the Ali Group company in April 2011. Before joining Carpigiani, Babila held the title of v.p.-sales and marketing for a number of other E&S industry manufacturers, including Electrolux Corp. and Middleby Corp.

Babila will work from his office in Jupiter, Fla., while also spending time in the Carpigiani USA offices in Winston-Salem, N.C. He’ll report directly to Andrea Cocchi, CEO of the Bologna, Italy-based Carpigiani Group; Babila also will receive support from Ali Group North America, which is led by CEO Filippo Berti.

Carpigiani USA has been distributing its frozen dessert equipment in North America for more than 40 years. It’s one of the 73 brands under the umbrella of the Ali Group, based in Milan, Italy.
