QSCC, Wendy’s Honor Metro

Metro was one of eleven companies honored by Quality Supply Chain Co-op, the independent purchasing cooperative for restaurants owned by The Wendy’s Co. and its franchisees, at the 2013 Wendy’s Convention in Las Vegas.

The Wilkes-Barre, Pa., manufacturer was chosen from among the QSR’s more than 400 suppliers and distributors to receive the Golden Link Award for Supply Chain Excellence, QSCC’s highest honor for its supplier and distributor partners.

Metro has provided shelving and storage solutions to the Wendy’s system since 2011. Other winners included Coca-Cola Co., Maines-Savage, and Willow Run Foods.

Dublin, Ohio-based QSCC is an independent, not-for-profit purchasing cooperative jointly owned by Wendy’s and its U.S. franchisees. It provides purchasing and distribution of food and other products and services for all Wendy’s restaurants in North America.
