Great Lakes Expands Reach With New Culinary Center

Great Lakes Hotel Supply has opened a state-of-the-art test kitchen and special-events venue in Southfield, Mich. The Great Lakes Culinary Center is described as a kitchen stadium, resource hub, entrepreneurial launching pad and community gathering place under one roof.

The multi-use 6,000-sq.-ft. facility includes the key components foodservice industry professionals need to design, build, test and launch a fully equipped commercial kitchen. Recipes can be refined and menus can be designed utilizing the test kitchen, interactive demonstration classroom and multimedia learning center. The Great Lakes campus now encompasses 20,000-sq.-ft. at 24101 W. Nine Mile Road in Southfield.

The Culinary Center’s modern setting is available for corporate and private events, seminars and group cooking classes; the venue can accommodate up to 200 guests.
