Foodservice Equipment Reports

EVENTS: NAFEM 2015

The NAFEM Show always delivers when it comes to helping operators innovate food production and improve foodservice efficiency. The 2015 show, at California’s Anaheim Convention Center, held Wednesday, Feb. 18, through Saturday, Feb. 21, once again introduces leading decision-makers to the latest foodservice equipment and supplies products. This is the show where new equipment debuts. With so many novel products and professional demonstrations before you, it is impossible not to take home new strategies to enhance your business.

Start it all off at the Kick-Off Party on Feb. 18, 6-8 p.m. This is the place to relax and network in a casual setting before things heat up on the show floor. This time around, NAFEM is giving everyone the opportunity to sample cutting-edge food-truck fare and even learn how it’s done from the purveyors of these fully loaded mobile units. Could a food truck extend your business’ reach? You’ll have the chance to ask truck operators.

The What’s Hot! What’s Cool! Pavilion, a show centerpiece, is joining forces with The Culinary Institute of America in 2015. Innovative E&S products and solutions that address some of the more challenging problems foodservice industry leaders face will be presented, such as environmental responsibility; health and wellness; international flavors and craft presentation; and productivity, efficiency and precision.

On the final night, Feb. 21, eat, drink and be merry at the closing dinner and dance to three-time Grammy winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band.

FER Honors The Best

Following a well-received debut in 2013, Foodservice Equipment Reports will host its second Industry Excellence Awards Gala at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel on Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. During this semiformal awards evening, FER is very proud to honor a select group of outstanding industry leaders from segments of the foodservice industry. Veteran E&S experts and association boards spent days vetting nominees to make their final selections for the Management Excellence Awards, Young Lion Awards and Industry Service Awards. Each awards category honors consummate professionals from commercial and noncommercial foodservice operations as well as the dealer, manufacturers’ rep, consulting and service channels. Everyone is welcome at this event. To register, visit bit.ly/1t96MTW.
