Baker Hands Nieco Reins To Kohl

After four decades under Ed Baker as president, Nieco has a new name at the top. Korey Kohl has moved up from his post as v.p./g.m., and has been named president of the Windsor, Calif., company. He’s assumed day-to-day responsibilities from Baker, and is directing and managing all business operations.

“Korey’s expertise and ability to work with customers, suppliers and manufacturers has been a tremendous asset to Nieco,” said Baker. “His outstanding track record and results speak for themselves.”

Baker steps aside after 40 years in the post but he remains active with the Middleby Corp.-owned company, focusing on sales, distribution, service and integration of new products. He co-invented Nieco’s broiler and led the company from less than a half million dollars in sales to more than $25 million today.
