Halton Opens Office in Singapore

The growing market for its ventilation systems for the kitchens in Singapore’s hotels, casinos and sports venues has led Halton Group to open an office there, the 30th country in which it operates.

Halton had been handling its sales from Malaysia, but created the new, separate Singapore branch to better organize its service and oversee regular maintenance, according to Olli Sipilä, director for Halton Asia. The firm has locations in eight countries in Asia/Pacific. Regional expansion continues to be led from Malaysia, where Halton established its first Asian office and manufacturing facility in 1996; the company opened a new R&D center in Malaysia in March 2013 and moved its production to larger facilities there last November. Halton was founded in Finland in 1969.
