Internorga Keys Up Conference Programs

The days leading up to next month’s Internorga 2014 will provide attendees with a high-quality conference program with the 33rd International Food Service Forum: “Moving Forward with Passion.”

The forum at Europe’s biggest international conference for professional foodservice, will present the key drivers in professional foodservice, with a special emphasis on human resources marketing and staff loyalty. Two high-growth concepts will be presented as recipes for success—the Hans im Glück premium burger concept and BackWerk, a franchise system which has evolved from self-service baker to quick-service restaurant. The highlight of this year’s event will be a keynote presentation by legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, demonstrating with his “Philosophy of Number One” that foodservice is a team effort.

Internorga, March 14-19, also will spotlight the challenges of the future when it marks the 40th anniversary of the German Congress for Institutional Catering. The fourth annual School Catering Forum will look at “School food, varied and healthy.” One spotlight will be on the best practices model at the University City of Göttingen in Lower Saxony, which has succeeded without the support of external caterers in setting up a holistic food concept for 28 schools and 14 childcare centres.

Held every March since 1921, Internorga will host more than 1,200 exhibitors from Germany and other countries at the Hamburg Fair site, in the heart of Hamburg. More information on is available at internorga.com.
