Food&HotelAsia Maxes Out Exhibit Space

In a sign that the interest in the foodservice market is only growing bigger, Singapore’s most established food and hospitality trade show has become the first event to occupy all 10 exhibition halls and Max Atria at the Singapore Expo.

The 2014 edition of Food&HotelAsia and Wine&SpiritsAsia has filled every square meter of the center, for a total of 100,000 sq.m.—an 8% increase over 2012. The show, April 8-11, is the largest edition in the event’s 37-year history.

FHA, organized by Singapore Exhibition Services, got its start in the basement parking garage of the Hyatt Hotel, when 213 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions took up 4,000 sq.m.

This year, industry buyers can expect to source from a gathering of 2,800 exhibitors representing 70 countries/regions and 54 group pavilions, showing bar and kitchen equipment and supplies, food processing equipment, hotel amenities, tableware and hospitality technology, and food products.

The 2012 FHA saw a record total of more than 42,000 trade visitors, an increase of more than 10% over 2010. Overseas visitors made up 42% of total visitors.

This 19th edition of FHA will include the launch of SpecialityCoffee&Tea, which joins five other specialty shows: FoodAsia, HotelAsia, Bakery&Pastry, HospitalityStyleAsia, and HospitalityTechnology.
