NRA Beefs Up Focus on Safety, Members With New Appointments

The National Restaurant Association has added two executives. Sherman Brown is now senior v.p.-business and financial strategy for the association’s ServSafe Food Safety Program, and Thomas Wojno has been hired as president of member value and strategy.

Brown, who previously served as the NRA’s v.p.-finance and strategy, will oversee the strategic direction, financial management and daily operations of the product and services business for ServSafe. He will be accountable for protecting and growing the ServSafe brand and the oversight of training, education and testing solutions.

In his new role, Wojno will focus on growing and improving the NRA’s national membership outreach, supporting state restaurant associations in their member acquisition and retention efforts and developing NRA’s relationships with key industry operators.

Wojno joins the NRA from America’s Promise Alliance, where he had served as v.p.-resource development since 2010.
