The 19th edition of Food&HotelAsia2014, Asia’s largest biennial food and hospitality tradeshow, set a few records earlier this month. The April 8-11 show, the first to fully occupy the Singapore Expo, the country’s biggest exhibition venue, boasted 3,213 exhibitors—its largest number to date—and 63 group pavilions. Preliminary data has the show attracting 64,826 attendees, more than 40% from overseas.
The event, organized by Singapore Exhibition Services, showcased foodservice equipment and technology, hotel amenities, hospitality technology, foods, wines and liquors.
For the first time, 142 buyers from 25 countries were invited to FHA2014. They represented retailers and importers from all over the world, including Australia, Holland, Japan, Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. The host country’s Singapore Pavilion, featuring a record 75 exhibitors, performed exceptionally well during the four-day event.
The exhibition was accompanied by an international conference with speakers focusing on key topics and issues faced by the F&B and hospitality industries.
FHA2016 will return to Singapore Expo on April 12-15, 2016.
