Roy Rogers Expands With Mid-Atlantic Stores

The burger and chicken chain is signing deals and looking to regain its footing in the Mid-Atlantic region’s quick-service market. A franchise deal with a multibrand operator will lead to four Roy Rogers Restaurant units across Bergen and Essex counties in northern New Jersey; the first store will open in 2016. The chain also has inked a franchise agreement to open a new restaurant in Pasadena, Md., early next year; it marks Roy Rogers’ return to the region after more than a decade. Frederick, Md.-based Plamondon Cos. owns and operates 22 Roy Rogers stores, and oversees 28 franchise locations in the Mid-Atlantic region.
