Smallwares Alert: Focus Foodservice Allies With Update Int’l., Johnson-Rose

Centre Lane Partners, holding company of Focus Foodservice, has acquired two leading smallwares suppliers: Update Int’l. and the U.S. and Canadian operations of Johnson-Rose Inc. Both businesses are now affiliates of Focus, a leading supplier of bakeware, beverage, storage and handling equipment as well as assorted smallwares.

Los Angeles-based Update has been manufacturing smallwares and beverage servers since 1979. Johnson-Rose, founded in Montreal in 1948, is one of Canada’s largest suppliers of foodservice smallwares. It established its U.S. operation in 1986 and services all of the U.S., Mexico, Central and South America, and other parts of the world.

Focus Foodservice is headquartered in Lincolnshire, Ill.
