In Memoriam: John Bridgins

Longtime manufacturer’s rep John Bridgins died suddenly on Jan. 19. He was 62. Bridgins was president and CEO of J.H. Bridgins & Associates, the firm founded by his father, Jim. He spent his entire career there, first in the company’s original Philadelphia office, before establishing their Alexandria, Va., branch.

An active and longtime member of the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry, Bridgins served as president of its Region 5 Mid-Atlantic chapter and on MAFSI’s national board of directors.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah, and a brother and sister. Bridgins was an avid sailor, car enthusiast and traveler; donations in his honor can be made to oceana.org. Services were held Jan. 29 in Springfield, Pa.
