Buffalo Hotel Supply Acquired By Investment Firm

Private-equity firm Lorraine Capital has acquired all of the stock in Buffalo Hotel Supply Co., the Amherst, N.Y., family-owned dealership with its fourth generation at the helm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Buffalo Hotel Supply has 70 employees in its three offices in Buffalo, Rochester and Albany. The company also has a custom mill workshop in Orchard Park. The current team, headed by President James Bedard, will remain intact throughout the acquisition.

“This transaction will allow us to continue the foundation that has been built upon since 1938, the year my grandfather founded the company,” Bedard said. “We are looking forward to utilizing the resources and management capabilities of Lorraine to take BHS to the next level.”

Buffalo Hotel Supply reported sales of $24.5 million in 2013, ranking it 35th on FER’s 2014 Top Dealers Report.
