  • The World Food Travel Association and the United Association of Food & Beverage Merchants of Macau have signed a memorandum of understanding that makes Macau the WFTA’s second embassy worldwide and its first in Asia. The association’s first embassy was founded in Portugal, where the next World Food Travel Summit takes place April 6-11, 2015. Under the new partnership agreement, WFTA and UFBMM will work together to preserve and promote Macau’s culinary culture. Both organizations also seek to develop Macau as a food tourism destination. The WFTA, based in Portland, Ore., is a non-governmental organization supporting a community of more than 30,000 professionals in 135 countries and a leading authority on food tourism.
