Kold-Draft Beefs Up Engineering Staff

The nuts-and-bolts of equipment design and engineering is getting a boost at Kold-Draft, which has added 10 certified engineers during the past year.

Timothy W. Bethuy, v.p.-engineering and technical services, is spearheading the strategic hiring move. New employees at the Erie, Pa., manufacturer include six senior engineers; three serve as product line managers and project leaders for the firm’s ice makers and automatic ice-bagging system. The other three head up engineering advancements for the accessories to these core lines, including bins, dispensers, and ice crushers.

Bethuy is also leading the development of a separate reliability engineering team to improve cross-functionally with the manufacturing and sales divisions to monitor and ensure the mechanical and structural reliability of Kold-Draft equipment.
