CPK Shows Off New Look

It’s got California in its name, but California Pizza Kitchen has a new look and reimagined menu in a dozen stores around the country. The latest store, in Wellington, Fla., joins four other remodeled units in that state.

The 12 remodeled stores feature open kitchens for easy customer views of the pizza-making counter and hearth oven. The new decor uses sustainable materials, including reclaimed wood on walls, tables and doors; natural stone countertops; an oak-wrapped bar and counters; and LED lighting. A kitchen herb garden complements CPK’s new reliance on locally sourced ingredients. Some locations offer outdoor dining. Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, CPK now has 260 full-service units in 15 countries.
