NRA Calls For Good Neighbor Service Award Entries

The holidays can bring out the best in all of us, but some people—specifically restaurant operators—help others all year long. The nation’s one million operators are encouraged to share their stories and earn a chance to win the National Restaurant Association’s 2011 Restaurant Neighbor Award. The annual program, which honors restaurants exemplifying the industry’s community support and philanthropic spirit, will award four winning operators $5,000 each toward their charitable projects.

Restaurants nationwide contribute nearly $3 billion annually to charitable causes, according to the NRA. Restaurants may apply before Jan. 11, 2011 on their own behalf, and/or work with employees, patrons and community members to apply. More at www.restaurant.org/rna.”””
